BEST BEACHES IN ZANZIBAR

Nungwi Beach

The coast and bottom are covered with snow-white soft sand. Strong tides do not happen due to the great depth. Low cliffs rise above the beach. The landscape allows you to take morning and evening walks down a long and wide coastline.

 There is a lot of space for those who want to sunbathe. Nungwi is suitable for diving. It is deep and there are reefs with beautiful fish, algae and corals here. There are many banana and coconut groves on the shore, which provides natural shade and additional protection from the scorching sun.

Paje Beach

Paje is a small village located on the east coast of Zanzibar, an island off the coast of Tanzania in East Africa. It is known for its beautiful beaches and strong kitesurfing culture, and it’s a popular destination for travelers who want to escape the crowds and experience a more authentic and rustic beach vacation.

The main beach in Paje is called Paje Beach, and it’s a long stretch of sand lined with palm trees and dotted with small beach huts and restaurants. The water is clear and blue, and the beach is great for swimming, sunbathing, and other water activities. 

Kendwa beach

Kendwa is a wide and long beach, so there is enough space for all vacationers. The slope is flat, the water deepens gradually and quickly. 

There is no shallow water, shells, stones and algae. On the coast fine white sand lies and tall perennial palms grow. The facilities are suitable for adults and children. The ocean is calm with azure, clear and transparent water. The tides are low.

Kizimkazi beach

The Beach Kizimkazi is situated in the fishing village of Kizimkazi, located on the southwestern coast of Zanzibar in Tanzania. The beach is predominantly made up of sand, with some rocky areas. The Indian Ocean is warm, clean, and calm, and is monitored by lifeguards for safety. 

However, the coastline is not suitable for swimming during low tide. Kizimkazi is a secluded resort that boasts attractions such as old buildings and the oldest functioning Shirazi mosque in East Africa. Tourists can observe dolphins and migrating whales from observation platforms and elevations.
